The
company IPEC was founded in 1998 by professionals with more than
20 years of industry experience in the field of air and water
purification, industrial filtration, system design,...
Today IPEC offers a range of waste water and odour control
systems from single systems
up to large fully automated computer controlled plant systems.
When it comes to odour control, IPEC has the solution. Whatever
the application, IPEC's goal is to work with you as a partner to
identify the cost-effective custom-designed solutions that best meet
your needs.

Odour Control within the municipal and industrial sectors is
an every day concern with industry intensively concerned about
the health and safety risks of a seemingly endless list of volatile
compounds.
The municipal sector is much more concerned about the odour
aspect of mainly sulphur based components such as hydrogen
sulphide and mercaptans. Ammonia and amines are also common
odour sources.

IPEC has the know-how to calculate the needs of air
extraction from an odour source in order to reach the treatment
objective.
IPEC will not only guarantee the treated air quality but also
recommend the measures to be taken to avoid odour emission at
the odour source. These can include recommendations on covers,
points of air extraction, quantity of air from each extraction
point, and the diameter of the ducting.
IPEC has the know-how to calculate the amount of air to be
extracted from an odour source, taking into account the climate
factor, the level of odour, the design of the building and the
specific treatment objective.
IPEC will design a treatment unit up to complete systems with
various steps in the odour removal process (filters, demister,
scrubbers,...)

The technology of choice is based on adsorption/chemisorption
on granular or pelletised activated carbon.
The systems may require pre-treatment to allow the
activated carbon to work under optimal conditions. In case dust
might be present a mechanical filter will be installed, if free
water droplets are expected a demister will be integrated in the
system,...
