When you start examining solutions, you discover that every solution involves trade-offs. Choosing the "right" solution for your application requires:

  • In-depth analysis of your proces
  • Long-term view of your market
  • Sensitivity to regulatory agency goals
  • Assessment of your company's business/financial goals

Weigh your capital costs against the long-term savings created by improved process efficiency. The system you specify today must be mission capable for the future. The technology you select must, of course, be appropriate - for your processes and for your business.

To begin an analysis that leads to specifications for a odour/pollution control system, we need to work with you to answer the following questions:

  • What pollutants are you controlling? What types of VOCs? Is there any additional hazardous air pollutant (HAP) or nitrous oxide (NOx) control needed?
  • What is the current volume of exhaust air you need to process: flow rate and concentration of pollutants?
  • What kind of production growth do you anticipate for the process?
  • Which regulatory agencies have authority in your community?
  • Do you anticipate changes in the regulatory environment for your industry?
  • Do you have any additional goals for your pollution control process based on your company values, employee concerns or community interests?
  • Do you want to finance your pollution control through capital investment or is it appropriate to study alternatives?
  • Do you want to provide all the manpower and training required to operate and maintain your system or is outsourcing an option?

Traditional consulting

The traditional process for non purchasing consulting normally involves writing a scope of work with defined deliverables and a timeline.

Invoicing is triggered by progress milestones. A detailed scoping and subsequent work on the defined project is billed at a pre-agreed rate (typically €500 to €1000 per day, depending on the project duration) + expenses.

E-mail consulting

For the client who wants to have advice by e-mail on any aspect of 'activated carbon' or 'odour control', work can be billed in increments of 6 minutes at rates prorated to the above typical daily rates.

All that is asked here is a pre-registration, and a promise of a minimum aggregate annual total of 80 increments (=1 day).

Registered clients will receive a seperate "Hotline" e-mail address to use, which guarantees fast response.
